Western Michigan Broncos, featuring former Buchanan High School standout Hannah Herman, fell short in an 8-7 NCAA Division I softball loss against the Toledo Rockets on Friday, April 17, at 3 p.m.
The matchup, held at Ebert Field, marked the first time the Broncos faced the Rockets this season.
Herman contributed with one hit in three at-bats, scored two runs, and stranded two runners on base.
Western Michigan and Toledo are set to meet again at Ebert Field on Saturday, April 18.
