Buchanna Community Schools issued the following announcement on May 14
At a virtual public meeting on May 13, 2020, the Buchanan Community Schools Board of Education voted to authorize Board President Dennis Wentworth to sign a separation agreement with Superintendent Timothy Donahue, Ed.S., whose contract was originally scheduled to end on June 30, 2022
Mr. Donahue will remain as Superintendent through Aug. 31, 2020 to complete a transition to interim leadership.
As this is a confidential personnel matter, we cannot go into further detail about the specifics of the agreement. The Board appreciates Mr. Donahue’s three years of service to the district and wishes him well in his future endeavors.
Moving the district forward, particularly as we face uncertain times during the COVID-19 pandemic, is our top priority. In starting the process to find new leadership, we look
forward to involving the BCS staff and community to ensure we are continuing to prepare our students for life-long success.
