The Board of Education of Buchanan Community Schools announces the schedule for first round interviews for the position of Superintendent of Schools:
July 13 5:00 p.m.
Christopher Machiniak, Regional Director of Career & Technical Education, Berrien RESA
Brian Brown, Business Manager, River Valley School District
Brandon Waggoner, Asst. Superintendent of Online Learning & Innovation, Berrien Springs Public Schools
Dorothy Blackwell, Superintendent, Vassar Public Schools
July 14 5:30 p.m.
Patricia Robinson, Assistant Superintendent (former), Benton Harbor Area Schools
Mark Kurland, Executive Director of Academic Services, Buchanan Community Schools
Kelly Gaideski, K-12 Director of Curriculum and Instruction, St. Joseph Public Schools
Interviews will be held in-person and will be streamed. The public is invited to attend the interviews virtually. A link will be provided on the district website once it has been established. Due to safety concerns caused by COVID 19, the public will not be allowed to attend in person.
Audience members will have the opportunity to provide input to the Board of Education through an online form.
It is anticipated that the Board will deliberate on the 14th and select candidates for a second-round interview.
