Cost of college went up for all students at Twin City Beauty College

Tuition and fees rose 2.7 percent for 2018-19 at Twin City Beauty College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Michigan students paid $16,950 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $450 more than the $16,500 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 79 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 43 students received grants or scholarships totaling $163,258 and 61 students took out student loans totaling more than $401,682.

Including all undergraduates (272), 174 students used grants or scholarships totaling $859,146, and 166 students took out $1.2 million in federal student loans.
