Spectrum Health Lakeland issued the following announcement on Dec. 10.
The coronavirus battle has take a new step forward in Southwest Michigan. Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph is now giving antibody injection treatments to higher-risk patients.
The antibody will be injected into coronavirus patients one time through an IV. Doctors say this outpatient service will hopefully prevent people from being hospitalized.
Patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are at high risk for developing severe symptoms or needing hospitalization have access to a new antibody treatment: https://bit.ly/3m1vYKm
