Brandywine Community Schools recently issued the following announcement.
Alexandra Curtis-Lee has been formally notified that her painting, “The Need to Mend,” submitted as part of an art competition, sponsored by the White House Historical Association, has received a 1st place prize in her age bracket. Alexandra is due to receive a $1,000 prize.
There were over 500 pieces submitted from across the United States.
