The Youth Advocate works under the direction of building administration or Youth Advocate Coordinator. Youth Advocates carry a caseload of 15-25 students at any given time. The primary function of the Youth Advocate is a mentor to students who are struggling with various challenges that interrupt their education. Additionally, Youth Advocates make connections with community and family to better understand student's needs. Youth Advocates will be trained in Peer Mediation skills, Morning Meeting, and other group setting structures.
