Benton Harbor Area Schools recently issued the following announcement.
10 youth from Benton Harbor attended the 2021 CircEsteem Summer Camp sponsored by The GhostLight Theatre.
Benton Harbor Education Foundation scholarship funds allowed 10 students from BHAS to attend this amazing 5-day camp, with instructors from Chicago, along with the summer interns (college students) at The GhostLight Theatre, and other youth from surrounding communities.
The team-building exercises were fascinating to watch, and the instructors were adept at getting kids comfortable with each other and with skills that were new to them all. They learned to work collaboratively, and to support each other both emotionally and physically.
