Congratulations to Monica Denney, counselor at Bridgman Elementary School, for receiving this thoughtful Learn by Heart thank you:
"Monica Denney is a vital asset at BES. When we have a student in need, Monica is one of the first people we contact. She does a great job of talking to students to try to find ways to help them with problems they might be facing. She also comes in to our classrooms and helps teach lessons on emotions and feelings, which has been very helpful during these last few years during the pandemic. I know her job can be stressful and very busy, but when you see her walking the halls at BES she is always calm and collected. The students know they can trust her and often ask to go talk to her if they need a listening ear. Monica also helps to share mental health information for stuff, realizing that this time in education can be a challenge. At Christmas, she took on the job of collecting gifts for families and helped provide them with a holiday meal. Monica always goes out of her way to give a helping hand and the staff and students at BES know they can count on her when they need her." Heather P.
