Karen Weimer recipient of Berrien RESA Champion Award

Superintendent Karen Weimer was the recipient of the Berrien RESA Champion Award.  The award was presented by Berrien RESA Superintendent Eric Hoppstock at last night's Board of Education meeting.

Champion – a person who fights or argues for a cause on behalf of someone else.

The Berrien RESA Champion Award is given to someone that exemplifies the core values of Berrien RESA. Through extraordinary effort and persistence has advanced one of the following core values:

1. Leadership – guiding people through innovation to achieve goals

2. Respect – serving others with professional regard

3. Quality – developing and delivering effective programs and/or services through shared knowledge

4. Compassion – supporting others in a caring manner

5. Partnership – building relationships through teamwork and advocacy in the community

Superintendent Hoppstock said that through the years he has observed Karen, she has demonstrated all the qualities that we value and hold close to our heart.
