There were three Asian students enrolled in Watervliet School District in the 2022-23 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Michigan Department of Education.

Data showed that Watervliet School District welcomed 1,452 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Asian students made up 0.2% of the student body, making them the least represented ethnicity in the district.

Watervliet School District roughly covers five schools within Berrien County and has its main office in Watervliet.

Among the five schools in Watervliet School District, North Elementary School, Watervliet Middle School, and Watervliet Senior High School recorded the highest enrollment of Asian students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of one students.

Overall student enrollment in Michigan remains below pre-pandemic levels, with white students experiencing the largest decline at 6.5%.
