Census Bureau: 78.1% of people in Berrien County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 154,263 citizens living in Berrien County in 2021, 78.1% were old enough to vote, equating to 120,546 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 58,736 were male, constituting 48.7%, and 61,810 were female, making up 51.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Berrien County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 78.2%.
