Brad Paquette, a Michigan state representative, shared a series of posts on his social media account in August 2025 addressing topics ranging from drug policy to education and gender-affirming care.

On August 8, 2025, Paquette questioned the effectiveness of past approaches to drug enforcement by referencing former President Donald Trump. He posted, "President Trump will be the first to bring the 'war on drugs' to the actual source of the drugs?"

Two days later, on August 10, Paquette commented on gender-affirming care for children. He wrote, "I have a 3 year old boy and a 6 month old baby girl. The abject insanity of this video is hard to comprehend. Affirming a child down a path to become pharmaceutically maimed because they 'sit down to pee at three years old' or don't play with certain toys is surreal. A gender"

Later that same day, Paquette turned his attention to education policy in Michigan. He stated, "The grip of the cult of the average in Michigan's education system can be broken in a very simple way: Let parents hire teachers directly and let those teachers get paid what they're worth."

Paquette has previously advocated for parental involvement in education and has taken public stances on issues related to drug policy and healthcare access for minors.
