Brad Paquette, a Michigan state legislator, posted several messages on his Twitter account in late August 2025 addressing school food safety, corporate branding decisions, and personal values.

On August 22, 2025, Paquette expressed gratitude for legislative efforts to improve the quality of food served to children in schools. He wrote: "The momentum has been unstoppable. I am thankful to my colleagues and Speaker @RepMattHall for holding strong on the goal of removing toxic ingredients from foods that target children in schools. @MI_Republicans have genuine goals that are sound and fully transparent." This statement follows ongoing national discussions about the health impacts of certain food additives on children and recent legislative actions in various states aimed at banning or restricting potentially harmful substances in school meals.

Later that day, Paquette commented on Cracker Barrel's new logo and remodeling decisions. In his post he stated: "Is the new Cracker Barrel logo terrible? Yes. Do you know you're in a Cracker Barrel when you're in a Cracker Barrel, and will the remodeling make it like every other generic place? Yes. Should Cracker Barrel be canceled for making unwise, yet non-political, decisions? No." His remarks reflect broader conversations about brand identity changes among major American restaurant chains and public reactions to those shifts.

On August 23, 2025, Paquette shared a personal reflection on social skills rooted in spirituality: "The ultimate social skill is built upon this precept: Every single person we encounter can be for extraordinary reasons if we are sensitive to the Holy Spirit."

Paquette serves as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives. The Republican Party has recently supported measures promoting transparency around food ingredients used in public institutions such as schools.
