Brad Paquette, a Michigan state representative, posted several statements on his social media account on August 28, 2025, addressing issues related to fiscal policy, gun rights, and gender theory.

In his first post of the day, Paquette commented on financial matters: "A welcomed return to fiscal restraint." (August 28, 2025).

Later that morning, he drew historical comparisons in a tweet referencing past and present societal concerns. He wrote: "1969: 'The tragic story of why some whites are arming' Today: Disarmed and defenseless Americans subject to violent psychopaths

1969: 'How the Far Right can wreck a school'

Today: Rampant sexual promiscuity and abortion up until birth

History provides insight for today." (August 28, 2025).

In the evening, Paquette addressed issues surrounding gender theory. He stated: "The militancy of gender theory is well documented. 'Trans Rage' was coined in the 1970s.

'Allies' and 'safe spaces' have fostered homegrown synthetic hormone terrorism.

It has grown under the banner of health care and civil rights.

Love tells the truth, that sex cannot be" (August 28, 2025).

Paquette serves as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives. The topics he raised—fiscal restraint in government spending, debates over gun control policies in America since the late twentieth century, and ongoing national discussions about gender identity—are part of broader conversations occurring both within Michigan and across the United States.
