Brad Paquette, a public official representing Michigan's 78th District in the State House, posted a series of statements on his social media account on September 9, 2025. The posts touched on transparency concerns, referenced historical commentary on race relations, and issued a caution regarding an unspecified location.

In his first post at 19:52 UTC, Paquette questioned information access by asking, "Why won't they publish it?" On the same day at 21:14 UTC, he quoted Malcolm X: "Whenever you got a racial powder keg sitting in your lap, you’re in more trouble than if you had an atomic powder keg sitting in your lap. When a racial powder keg goes off, it doesn’t care who it knocks out the way. Understand this, it’s dangerous." Later that evening at 21:37 UTC, Paquette wrote: "This is not the place to go. https://t.co/h5tjPiD48f"

Paquette has previously engaged with issues concerning government transparency and social dynamics within Michigan. As a member of the Michigan House of Representatives since 2019 and an educator by profession, he has advocated for open communication between state institutions and constituents.

The reference to Malcolm X reflects ongoing conversations about race relations in American society. Discussions about transparency and safety remain central themes in both local and national political discourse.
