Brad Paquette, a Michigan state representative, has recently made several statements on his social media account addressing political and public health issues.

On September 16, 2025, Paquette posted a brief message: "Evil prevails when..."

The following day, September 17, 2025, he commented on an incident involving Hammoud, a former colleague in the Michigan House of Representatives. Paquette wrote: "It's shocking to see this after having served with Hammoud in the house.

He was always pretty cordial and kind to others, even in disagreements.

It is completely unacceptable to tell an American citizen they are not welcome in a city in America."

Later that same day, Paquette addressed public health recommendations regarding COVID-19 vaccines. He stated: "Recommending covid shots for 6 month old babies and pregnant women while continuing to ignore those injured by these things is wrong." The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends COVID-19 vaccination for everyone aged six months and older, including pregnant individuals. These recommendations are based on ongoing studies showing that the benefits of vaccination outweigh potential risks ([CDC](https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/recommendations/pregnancy.html)).

Paquette has represented Michigan's 78th District since 2019. His recent comments reflect ongoing debates about vaccine policy and local governance across the United States.
