This market was launched in 2008 by Hartford Food System as the only market in the city to operate north of the downtown area. The market represents a grassroots victory for North End residents who long desired a farmers’ market in their community. Every summer the market brings fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables from area farms into the North End neighborhoods. The market is a vibrant community gathering place that regularly features live music, activities for children, and more.
