Michigan Sen. Kim LaSata encourages residents in the state to complete the 2020 Census while they're at home due to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's stay-at-home order.

"Looking for something to do at home?" LaSata asked in a Facebook post. "Completing your census will make a difference to your community of approximately $20,000 per person in federal funding over 10 years. Get your census form done today. Go to: www.my2020census.gov or call 844-330-2020 to complete the Census."

The 2020 Census can easily be completed online, by phone or by mail.

LaSata also provided important information regarding the stay-at-home order and the coronavirus on Facebook, encouraging Michiganders to regularly check for the most updated information.

"We know that many of you have questions on the coronavirus. Below are some of the common FAQs. For the latest info, make sure to check www.Michigan.gov/coronavirus often."

LaSata addressed issues such as filing taxes, essential businesses, prescriptions and the ability to go outdoors in her post.
