City of South Haven recently issued the following announcement on June 11
The Southside Marina is currently closed due to needed maintenance and the back order of necessary parts to complete said maintenance. The supply chain for electrical components have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The city anticipates partial opening of the South Side Marina on July 1, 2020.
The Southside Marina underwent an extensive electric upgrade project in 2019, bringing the electric shore power system up to current National Electric Code requirements to help prevent electric shock drowning.
In addition to the above mentioned, the marina continues to experience daily and hourly water level fluctuations due to the high-water levels. The fluctuations cause water to overtop the decking and create an unsafe environment.
