Fort St. Joseph Archaeology Summer Camp
The Fort St. Joseph Archaeological Project is seeking participants to work alongside Western Michigan University students to investigate and interpret the history and archaeology of Fort St. Joseph, an 18th century French trading post.
Campers will spend mornings at the Niles District Library learning the history of Fort St. Joseph and the goals of the Project. Afternoon activities at the site include practice in excavation, record-keeping artifact identification, lab work, and analysis.
All Camps run Monday - Friday 9 am - 3 pm.
- July 6 -10 New! Experienced Learners (Returning campers who have completed 1 - 2 years of FSJ Camp, you will spend your full days at the site.
- July 13 - 17 - Middle School (Grades 6-8)
- July 20 - 24 - High School (Grades 9-12)
- July 27 - 31 - Lifelong Learners and Educators
