St. Joseph Charter Township issued the following announcement on Sept. 22.
The Senate Transportation and Infrastructure Committee is meeting and is expected to hear testimony and vote on the MTA-opposed Senate Bill 431, which would virtually strip the already-limited local control over sand and gravel mining operations from local govenments.
