NILES DISTRICT LIBRARY: Virtual Book Club to be held on Dec. 29

Niles District Library issued the following announcement.

Virtual Book Club

Tue Dec 29th 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Virtual Book Club

Due to Covid-19, our regular book clubs will not be meeting at this time. We are offering the Virtual Book Club as an alternative. We will meet virtually on the last Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm. Email Andrea.burns@nileslibrary.net if you wish to join. We will email you the link to join in the discussion. 

June 30 Discussion: Graphic Novel 

July 28 Discussion: Biography 

August 25: Discussion: Small Town

September 29: Discussion: Transportation

October 27: Discussion: Magic

November 24: Discussion: Food

December 29: Discussion: Christmas

What is the Virtual Book Club?

  • This is an online book club where we can meet together and discuss books without being physically in the same room. 
What do we read for the Virtual Book Club? 

  • Participants are free to read any book of their choosing related to the theme for that date. Ex. August 25, Small Town, you may choose and read any fiction or nonfiction book that deals with a small town. Be prepared to say a few words on the book you choose. 
How do I get my book for the Virtual Book Club?

  • Your personal library
How do I virtually join the discussion?

  • You will need a smartphone, laptop or tablet, and an internet connection.
  • You will have received a link to join the Virtual Book Club.
