Michigan Townships Association issued the following announcement on Dec. 22.
A new Michigan Department of Health and Human Services order, effective Dec. 21, requires ALL indoor meetings of a public body, including township board meetings, be held completely virtually, if at all until Jan. 15, 2021. The Open Meetings Act, as amended by Senate Bill 1246, also allows virtual meetings to be held for any reason through March 30, 2021.
