City Hall Exhibition, What's In A Name?

How to organize an art exhibit 886x500

City of Portage issued the following announcement on Mar 29.

Did you know that Milham Avenue is named after one of the most successful Portage families in the 1800s?  In 1845, William Milham moved to Portage with his father John Milham.  William quickly turned 200 acres of land into 400 acres on Texas Road.  In honor of the family, Texas Road was changed to Milham Avenue.

To learn more about William Milham and Milham Avenue, visit the City Hall Exhibition, What's In A Name? It takes place now through April 30 in the lobby of Portage City Hall and is FREE and open to the public, Monday - Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM.
