Congratulations to Mrs. Amanda Veldman, math teacher at Bridgman High School, for receiving seven Learn by Heart thank you messages! Here are just a few of the heartfelt messages she received.

“Mrs.Veldman has helped out so much during the pandemic by being supportive, encouraging us to keep pushing forward, and helped me personally with any questions and concerns that I had during our class. Mrs. Veldman demonstrated dedication by always answering my email in a polite manner, even though I emailed her a lot. Going through the pandemic was very difficult and having a great teacher by my side, helped me focus on the things that I could control, such as my studies or my grades and that would ease my burden.”  - Angelin W.

“I’m so thankful for the small and big things Mrs. Veldman does. Recently we did a string project in geometry and I’m sure it took a long time to be able to put it all together. It was really fun and I loved it! Not only that but preparing the lessons and activities every day for class which must be very time consuming.”  - Sky D.

“Mrs. Veldman has always been a role model to students. She has been patient and willing to help her students learn everyday. Not only is she helping her students but she also advises the National Honor Society, where she helps advise students on how we can be role models as well. For me, Mrs. Veldman has always been more than willing to help me. For example this year she has written me a letter of recommendation for scholarships. Throughout past years she has taken her time to help walk me through various math problems in order to help me learn.”  - Kaylee S.

Thank you for helping our students Learn by Heart, Mrs. Veldman!
