It's the Michigan DNR Free Fishing Weekend!
According to the DNR website, on June 11th & 12th "all fishing license fees will be waived - residents and out-of-state visitors may enjoy fishing on both inland and Great Lakes' waters."

Grab your fishing rod and find a good fishing hole! Here are a few great fishing spots in Berrien County:
Silver Beach County Park (St. Joseph)
There is access to the South Pier off of Silver Beach. Types of fish that have been caught off of the pier at the mouth of the St. Joseph River include: brown trout, catfish, lake perch, rainbow trout (steelhead), & whitefish.
Park admission for county residents: $8. Admission for non-residents: $15
Galien River County Park (New Buffalo)
This great park located right off of Red Arrow Hwy. features a 600' long marsh boardwalk with fishing access and a fishing deck at the end where you can cast your line into the Galien River. Park Admission is free.
Paw Paw River (Watervliet)
This beautiful park features fishing access and overlooks decks for the river.
