Yesterday Recruit Academy 22-01 completed the 1st of 2 live fire training days at Southwest Central Fire Territory in South Bend, IN.
Crews got to experience a fire behavior lab, search, rescue and fire attack as well as Vent-Enter-Isolate-Search scenarios! Our academy is all about training in context as well as making sure our students first fire isn't on the actual fireground. Additionally, we work on performance under pressure type scenarios. Thanks to Southwest Central Fire Territory for the true brotherhood shown yesterday to our recruits!
