Move Portage - Accepting Applications!

Are you a local business that is passionate about making Portage a more bicycle-friendly community? Then it's time to apply to the "MovePortage" bicycle-friendly program. Fresh Thyme Market and CrossFit AZO have recently joined the Move Portage Community. Other businesses already part of the MovePortage Bicycle Friendly Network include Blains Farm and Fleet, Latitude 42, Mercantile Bank, Pedal Bicycle, Water Street Coffee, Heads Up Hair Salon, and Earth Fare.

Join Portage Parks & Recreation in its initiative to promote a cycling culture, reduce CO2 emissions, and create a health-focused program for the community. Collaborating with local businesses to offer amenities to cyclists to assist in their travels, creates a bike-friendly environment in our community.

To learn more about program criteria or to apply, visit portagemi.gov/793/MovePortagebecome. If accepted, organizations will be awarded the Portage Bicycle Friendly Business status for two years with the following recognition:

- “MOVEPORTAGE” decal (see below) which can be placed on a window or door, and online media
- A listing on the City of Portage website
- Mentioned in Facebook and Instagram posts
- Mentioned in a list of bike-friendly businesses in the Portager newsletter that is mailed to 24,000 Portage addresses.
