2021 has 5.2% of Van Buren County residents unemployed

Van Buren County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,866 people out of the 75,550 living in Van Buren County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Van Buren County has remained fairly stable compared to the 5.2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Van Buren County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.2%.

Of the 34,341 people who had a job during that time, 55 were employed in the Armed Forces and 34,286 belonged to the civilian labor force.
